Imagine this

Advent calendar door number 16: Imagination is key for any kind of creative work. And our self-publisher Federico Cortese has loads: He imagined new species of butterflies, made a series of drawings and voilà, we’ve got this wonderfully whimsical Imaginary butterflies calendar now. Nice, isn’t it.

It’s all in the remix

Advent calendar door number 14: Psychedelic Monday – this should help you start the week with a bit of pizazz:

Want more? It’s all in Dex Hannon’s Remixing Nature calendar where you can see how the UK multimedia artist uses a digital paintbrush to remix his plant photography. Dex is a bit of a jack of all trades, working on all kinds of exciting arts projects and he also runs the Facebook Calvendo Authors Group for the UK. Thumbs up!

Colours, patterns and the third candle lit up

Third Sunday of Advent and door number 13 opens to reveal beautiful colours and patterns by designer Leigh Bagley:

Leigh studied at the Royal College of Art, worked as a knitted textile designer selling to the likes of Calvin Klein and Nicole Farhi, is lecturer and programme leader for knitted textiles at the renowned Glasgow School of Art, runs his own print company and – creates calendars with Calvendo! His Abstract Pattern collection is inspired by the colours of the Greek Mediterranean and the digital print patterns echo the vibrancy and beauty of Leigh’s favourite islands. Enjoy and have a relaxing Sunday!
