Colours, patterns and the third candle lit up

Third Sunday of Advent and door number 13 opens to reveal beautiful colours and patterns by designer Leigh Bagley:

Leigh studied at the Royal College of Art, worked as a knitted textile designer selling to the likes of Calvin Klein and Nicole Farhi, is lecturer and programme leader for knitted textiles at the renowned Glasgow School of Art, runs his own print company and – creates calendars with Calvendo! His Abstract Pattern collection is inspired by the colours of the Greek Mediterranean and the digital print patterns echo the vibrancy and beauty of Leigh’s favourite islands. Enjoy and have a relaxing Sunday!

Kitchen art

Opening advent calendar door number 12: It’s not only photographers but all kinds of artists who use Calvendo as a creative outlet. Such as painter Karin Moorhouse who has exhibited internationally, including shows in New York and London. Her Karin Moorhouse kitchen art calendar features a selection of her still life art images in a modern style. We can picture these bowls in our kitchen!

Nature + Creativity = Land Art

Let’s take a look behind door five of our Advent calendar and discover Richard Shilling’s land art:

The British artist creates works of art using only natural materials gathered near to where each sculpture is going to be made. His Land Art calendar shows how he explores the cycles of nature and transcience of existence. Inspiring!
